Dawnoday's Beam Me Up Scotty

Scotty doing Rally Obedience

Shown above is Scotty doning Rally Obedience. The same weekend, Scotty
also competed in his very first official AAC agility trial.

In Agility, he ran two Starters Standard runs and two Starters Snooker runs.
He did fantastic in all 4 runs, getting one Standard Q and barely missing out
on Qs in the three other runs.

In Rally Obedience, Scotty did two trials at the Novice B level, got
two Qualifying Scores and finished first in his category in both trials.
(His older brother Max came in second in both trials and also got two Qs).

Scotty got his CD in February at the Ottawa Golden Retriever Club trials.

Dawnoday’s Jack of Clubs CG, PCD, CD, RN

On the weekend of June 5, 2010, Jack and Barbara had quite an amazing weekend.
They had tons of fun and Jack won in two matches, second place in Obedience
and first place in the CARO Rally match.

Jack was the only dog who qualified in the Rally match, out of a field of about 20.
CARO Rally is tough, especially on the handler!

Ottawa Kennel Club show - May 28-30, 2010

On May 28, 2010 at Richmond, Annie, Dawnoday’s Ann of Green Gables took
Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Breed and a Group 3rd for a 5 point win.


On May 29, Jodi ( Rough Collie) Dawnoday’s Cat Woman took Winners Bitch,
Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex for a 2 point win.

Jodi's brother Dooley, Ch. TLC’s Perpetual Motion took Best of Breed.

Maverick - Best Puppy in Show
On the same day, Maverick, Dawnoday’s Maverick took Best Puppy in Breed,
Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show!


Annie - New Champion
On May 30th, Annie finished her championship with
Winners Bitch and Best of Winners (4 point win).

Jodi - BOB<
Jodi took Winners Bitch Best of Winners and Best of Breed for another 2 points.

Rebekah finished off our weekend with winning her class in Junior Handling
and then going on to take Best Overall Junior.

We did have a wonderful weekend.

TLC's Perpetual Motion

Dooley - New Champion
We are very proud of TLC’s Perpetual Motion (Dooley),
Ch. TLC’s Silver Mist of Dawnoday’s son,
who is now a New Ch. taking Best of Breed and a Gr. 4th
at the Hochelaga Kennel Club show on May 24th to finish.

Big congratulations to Tina and Taylor King, we are so proud of you all!


Also today in Hochelaga, Dawnoday’s Jack of Clubs CG, PCD, CD, RN,
completed his Novice Rally Title with 2 perfect 100 scores and 97.
Barbara Zuchowicz is Jack’s proud owner, and has every right
to be very proud of his accomplishments.

Congratulations Barb, we are so very thrilled and proud of you.

Buddy and Rebekah at Iberville

We entered Buddy in the Iberville show the weekend of
April 30-May 2, his first time out in 8 months and as a Special.
He took Best of Opposite Sex Friday and Saturday,
second to the top ranking Sheltie in Canada.

in a very competitive group of Senior Handlers.

We were very proud of both Rebekah and Buddy.

New Obedience CD titles

Three of our dogs achieved their CKC Obedience CD titles at the
Ottawa Valley Golden Retriever Club trials on February 13 and 14 2010.

On September 25, 2009, at the Kanadasado Kennel Club Show (part of the Wine Country Circuit, Buddy
took Winners Dog for a three point win to earn his first points towards his American Championship.
Buddy will be 13 months on October 1st.

Dawnoday Phantom of the Opera (Fantôme)

Fantôme at Dream Fields

Fantôme's successes in Agility continue.

On Friday the 13th of November 2009, Fantôme achieved her AAC ATCh
(Agility Trial Champion of Canada) trial by earning her 4th Masters Gamblers Q
at Morning Star in Kingston. (See the video of the run below.)

On February 21, 2009, at the Club Canin Chomedey Agility Trial in
Laval, Quebec Agility, Fantôme got her AAC Masters Agility Dog of Canada (MADC)
title (see video of the run below).

Fantôme made her CKC agility debut at Dream Fields on
July 29-30 2006.

Fantôme went 4 for 4, getting Qs in every event entered.

Fantôme is owned and loved by Rhéal Nadeau and Kathryn Kaiser.

At the Caledon Kennel Association show on November 28-30, 2008,
we entered Crystal, she is just 6 months old.
On Friday, from the Junior Puppy class she took a 5 pt. major winning
Winners Bitch and Best of Winners under respected judge Mr. C. Trotter.

Crystal was lovingly handled to this win by Thomas and Diane Curley.

Dam is Dawnoday’s Aureola Borealis.

Blackadder Dawnoday Tryphena (Tryphena)

At the Belleville & District Kennel Club show on October 24-26 2008,
we entered Tryphena in Junior Puppy class as she has just turned 6 months
old. Friday she won her class and on Sunday once again took her class
and as well she won Reserve Winners Bitch.

We were very proud of her!!

Dawnoday’s Chasing Rainbows (Rain)

Rain completed her Championship on Friday, October 24 2008 at Belleville,
taking Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite and
Best Puppy in Breed under Judge Sharon Francis.

On Sunday she was entered as a special under Judge Ms. M. Macbeth and she
took Best of Opposite, Best Puppy in Breed, and Best Puppy in Group.

Rain is just 11 months old.

Rain took Winners Bitch, Best of Opposite and Best Puppy in Breed, then went on
to take Best Puppy in Group on Friday under Judge Cheryl Myers-Eggerton

She was not entered on Saturday but on Sunday she once again took Winners Bitch,
Best Puppy in Breed under Breeder Judge Irene Latchford. Rain now has
7 points towards her Canadian Championship.

Rain was shown at Pine Ridge Show by Tom Curley.

She was sired by Ch. TLC’s Where I Come From and dam is Dawnoday’s Silk.

CH. SIMONDSDAY SIMONE OF DAWNODAY (Mona)

Mona - new Champion
Mona went into the Iberville shows with 7 points, took Winners Bitch on
Saturday April 26 2008 for a 3 point win to complete her Championship.

CH. DAWNODAY TLC'S CANADIAN GLACIER (Ice)

Ice spent the weekend with Tom and Diane and they were quite happy with his results:

Thursday, Central New York Kennel Club Show — WD, BOW, BOB
Friday, North Country Kennel Club Show — WD, BOW
Saturday, Chanango Valley Kennel Club Inc — WD, BOS
Sunday, Del-Otse-Nango Kennel Club — WD, BOW, BOB

All in all, he had a great weekend, he enjoyed his stay in the hotel and was a very good boy.

We are very happy with his results, he has once again made us very proud of him.


On September 24, 2009, Ice was shown at the Onondaga Kennel Association Show,
part of the Wine Country Circuit, and had a wonderful day. He earned his first points
towards his American Championship, taking Winners Dog, Best of Winners and
Best of Breed. He then went on to take a Group 3rd.

On September 26, 2009, at the Finger Lakes Kennel Club, Ice did it again and
added more points for his American title. He took Winners Dog and Best of Winners
and picked up another 3 points for a total of 6.


Ice was entered as a special at the Belleville & District Kennel Club show
held October 24-26 2008.

He took Best of Breed Friday under Judge Sharon Francis,
Best of Opposite on Saturday under Judge Ronald Mahon, and
Best of Breed on Sunday under Judge Ms. M. Macbeth.


At the Ottawa Kennel Club show in Ottawa on Saturday May 24, Ice
took Best of Opposite, Best Puppy in Breed and Best Puppy in Group.
This is his 3rd. Best Puppy in Group.

We are so proud of both Ice and his handler Rebekah.


Ice at Arnprior 2008
The Arnprior show (May 9-11 2008) was Ice's third weekend out and
his first show as a Special.

Friday he took Best of Opposite, Best Puppy in Breed and Best Puppy in Group.
Saturday he took Best of Opposite, Best Puppy in Breed.
Sunday he took Best Of Breed, Group 4th. and Best Puppy in Group.

All of this still at the tender age of 9 months. Hooray for the “Ice Man”!

At the Iberville show on April 25-27 2008, Ice finished with 2 major wins at 9 months,
Friday he took Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best Puppy in Breed,
Saturday he took Best Puppy in Breed, Sunday he took Winners Dog,
Best of Winners and Best Puppy in Breed for 5 pts. to complete his championship.

Dawnoday Blackadder Queen Ann

Dawnoday Shetland Sheepdogs is very proud to announce that
Dawnoday Blackadder Queen Ann, call name Marlen will receive
her ROMC (Register of Merit Canada) from the Canadian Shetland
Sheepdog Association at the Shetland Sheepdog National
in Calgary in May 2008.

Marlen’s Sire is Ch. Premiere Weeacres Tease Me, CC
Dam is Dawnoday’s Triple Crown.

Marlen is co-owned with Joan Terris & Doug Werbin
of Blackadder Shetland Sheepdogs.

Marlen receives this award as she has produced
five Canadian Champions, three from one litter.

As Marlen is a heavily white factored blue merle sheltie we were unable
to show her in the comformation ring, she has however contributed greatly
to the success of our breeding program. Marlen is now retired and will
spend the rest of her life with us as a wonderful companion.

Harry - New Chamption

Harry took Best of Breed and Winners Dog at Brockville on Saturday, August 18 2007
under respected judge Mr. Edward Wild.

Harry finished his championship with a Best of Opposite on Sunday, August 19 2007
under respected judge Mr. Robert Whitney.

Harry was shown by Becky Nitschmann.

CH. DAWNODAY’S THE STATESMAN – Group 1st

Wally - Group 1st

Wally in Orangeville

Wally finished his championship on Friday, December 8 2006 with a
Group 1st in Orangeville under respected judge Mr. Max Magder.
Wally was handled by Tom Curley.

Wally is our 5th Conformation Champion for the 2006 season.

Wally took Best of Winners on Sunday August 20 2006 at
Brockville, beautifully handled and groomed by Rachel Pratt,
under respected judge Paul Odenkirchen.

He also took Winners dog on Saturday under
respected judge Arley Hussin for a total of 4 points.

Noah at Limestone

Ch. Dawnoday’s Northern Lights (Noah)

Noah finished his championship in Limestone on July 28 2006,
after just 5 shows, 3 major wins.

Noah’s sire is Ch. Dawnoday Blue Summer Tide,
his dam is Weeacre Dawnoday December Rose.

Noah was shown by Becky Nitschmann.
We would like to thank Veronica and Becky Nitschmann
for their assistance with our dogs.

TLCs Silver Mist of Dawnoday (Misty)

Misty - New champion

TLC's Silver Mist of Dawnoday is now a champion.
On Saturday, November 11, 2009, Misty took WB at the Ottawa Kennel Club Show
and completed her championship under Judge Butch MacDonald.

Misty was lovingly trained, handled and presented to her championship
by Rebekah Nitschmann.
Congratulations Rebekah and Misty, you made a great team!

under respected judge Mr. Richard Lake.

Ally - CSSA Nationals 2006

Ch. Dawnoday’s Silver Lining (Ally)

Ally won 4 Qs and was the best Sheltie in the Agility Competition
at the CSSA 2006 Nationals. Ally is loved, owned and handled to her
agility titles by our special friend Lorraine Daoust.

On May 14 2006 in Arnprior, Pecan took Winners Bitch
and Best Of Winners for a 5 point win.

Minx Arnprior

Ch. TLC Dawnoday Make Mine Mink (Minx)

Minx finished her championship on May 13 2006 in Arnprior,
with a 4 point win taking Winners Bitch.
